Tiffany lights utilising recoloured glass are made well known by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the late nineteenth century and are as famous today as ever. Each item is handcrafted by hundreds of individually cut stained glass pieces and each is a genuine legacy quality work of art. Designed for enduring beauty these stained glass products are handcrafted using the world-famous copper foil construction process. Individual pieces of stained glass are cut by hand, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered together, let us show you the production details below:

1: How to distinguish plastic and stained glass?

It can be distinguished from the weight: the molecular structure of colored glass is more complex than that of plastic, so the weight of colored glass will be significantly heavier than plastic. You will find that our lampshade is very heavy, and plastic cannot do it.
The stained glass surface can be tapped: please note that this method requires correct tapping! Look for a piece of glass next to you and knock on the lampshade. You will find that the lampshade will make a crisp sound, which cannot be done by knocking on plastic. (Because the colored glass uses a special process, hitting the lampshade with metal will cause errors and make you mistakenly think that it is plastic! But it is not plastic but metal) 

2: Why Dark than Modern lamp?

Tiffany lamp main for decoration and reading, the stained glass show beautiful color but obstruct the light bright big area, so not so bright.

 3: Why the line is rough?

we welding the small glass with tin and copper foil by hand, so line on the surface not smooth like machine produced.

 4: What's the bulb is better?

LED is good, base: E26, Temperature range 2700k(warm light), wattage 4-8w, diameter G45 is better. 

5: Why have oil on surface?

The craftsman bind the small glass with copper foil, this can help the stained glass be weld with tin one by one. oil on surface for protect from oxidation. 

6: Why Tiffany Lampshade looks the COLOR INHOMOGENEITY?

The stained glass look like cloud or Oil Painting,the color is similar but not same,some area maybe big different.
